EXPERTISE

MEETINGS, whether conventions, seminars or CONFERENCES, ARE A POWERFUL MEANS OF COMMUNICATION

Meetings are organized because people have explicit goals to achieve. This is why it is important to choose the most effective format to design productive events. That’s where the role of the Meeting Designer fits in. Meeting Designers are professionals who fabricate and inform events starting from the goals their clients wish to achieve.

With specific skills and certifications on board and thanks to the profitable collaboration with industry professionals, our Design Unit analyzes the needs related to each event and identifies the techniques and means to design, set up and manage the proper format. In 15 years, our Design Unit has designed and organized unique events that were highly engaging thanks to the innovative methodologies used.

FORMATS - SOME EXAMPLES

LEGO© SERIOUS PLAY© | FOR HEALTHCARE MEETINGS

Objectives

  • Generate consensus through co-creative discussion
  • Facilitate brainstorming to flag up critical issues
  • Propose solutions

We were the first in Italy to apply this famous methodology in the field of medicine to assign CME credits to healthcare professionals.

The format enables real-time strategy creation by using the famous Lego©  bricks and figures.  Participants “think with their hands” to unlock their intuition, inspiration and imagination.

Visual 3D metaphors are created to represent the main topics (or issues) to tackle and the possible ways to solve them. Building 3D models and the associated storytelling process taps into all aspects of the human dimension (rational, emotional and instinctual).

COACHING CIRCLE | THEORY U IN PRACTICE

Objectives

  • Share processes and solutions through empathy
  • Facilitate brainstorming to flag up critical issues
  • Foster change

We used this format based on the Theory U method for the first time to tackle the diagnostic and therapeutic process for clinical purposes. The method facilitates generative listening and debate among peers and is suitable for small groups.

Starting from the same background, participants apply active listening and share the common problems and challenges of their daily work.  A facilitator creates a calm and collaborative environment where participants develop empathy, let go of the past and focus more on the future and its values.

RADICAL COLLABORATION | TRASFORMING CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MODELS

Objectvies

  • Set up innovative models
  • Generate collaborative approaches
  • Accept change

This very practical workshop is designed to generate new client-centric relationship standards based on the client’s needs. Following the principles of human centred design, this format can enhance the satisfaction and sense of belonging of all the people who are actively involved in building a relationship model.  Direct engagement in working on resources and models generates innovation, improves customer experience and embraces aspects of change management.

CASE HISTORY - SOME PRACTICAL FORMAT EXAMPLES

CORPORATE CONVENTION “30 YEARS OF CLE”

Objectives

  • Celebrate the company’s 30 years
  • Present the new brand
  • Launch the challenge for knowledgeable innovation

After examining our client’s objectives, we designed a unique format in line with the company’s new communication process. CLE has a long-standing experience that can help tackle future challenges. We designed a thoroughly new set-up and chose to host a never-seen-before performance.

The company’s values, human capital and corporate social responsibility choices blended perfectly into the special effects of the performances, thanks to the talented direction of our partner Rob Budde and the creative proposals of the Maggipinto communication agency.

PHARMANAGE | TAPPING INTO EMOTION TO FOSTER COMMUNICATION

Objectives

  • Present a complex situation
  • Raise awareness and develop an empathic approach
  • Propose simple solutions by sharing best practices

Starting from the training need identified by our client, we designed a participatory format to engage the audience. With the collaboration with the well-known director Antonio Palumbo and based on the design by Claudia Laterza, a short film was made, built on metaphors to provoke a strong and alluring emotional reaction. From the very start, the participants felt they were protagonists of a journey during which they strongly shared emotions while tackling an urgent and important task:  becoming the solution for managing a more effective organization.

ASMACARE | FROM UNMET NEEDS TO DEVELOPING COMPLIANCE TO THERAPY

Objectives

  • Review unmet needs
  • Raise awareness and develop an empathic approach
  • Propose new motivational levers to promote adherence to treatment

This event format was designed by applying the principles of design thinking to better plan a complex care service and was organized in two editions. After examining the new needs of patients and their families, participants were asked to set aside any clinical or therapeutic aspects and focus on the problems of adherence to treatment.

This model was the real challenge of training 4.0, since attention is centred on a person who is not present in the room. That person is the patient, the final recipient of the training outcome.

By comparing the roles of different healthcare providers, we facilitated a consensus conference which produced a productive “multiplier effect”, thanks also to the use of technology.

REVERSE CONFERENCE | REDISCOVERING WHY

Objectives

  • Analyze procedures
  • Help work towards a generative dialogue
  • Propose means of implementation

The format was designed based on the analysis of the company’s procedures and on the need to encourage sharing change. By applying the principles of design thinking and sharing needs, the work group implemented a reference system for the company, with the help of a thirty-party tutor.

The co-creation of solutions streamlined negotiations between departments and encouraged people to share the rationale with other employees involved in production.

#KEYLEADER | THE HUMAN FACTOR IN TEAMWORK

Objectives

  • Encourage a collaborative approach
  • Enhance communication
  • Accept change

After examining the company key points we designed a workshop based on a team-building activity. Teams work with a collaborative and non-competitive spirit and understand how a system approach is successful and convenient for everyone. In this case, a gamification strategy regarding a well-known children’s film was used to bring out the win-win logic of teamwork. At the end of the activity, the participants understood the many issues and elements underlying certain prejudices.
